                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON SATURDAY,
                   DECEMBER 5, 1992 FOR "CHRISTMAS ON THE
                   RIVER" SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA DOWNTOWN
                   PARTNERSHIP, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverfront Parkway from the entrance to
       Ross's Landing to South River Street on Saturday, December 5, 
1992
       from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for the presentation of "Christmas 
on
       the River" sponsored by the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership
       provided that the sponsor shall set out flasher barricades, road
       closed and detour signs and shall provide at all times an access
       lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
